Celebrating Life's Transforming Journey.
The Main Street Moravian Church of Northfield, Minnesota was founded in 1869.
The Main Street Church is committed to being a community church; every activity of the church is focused outward to those in the community. The Moravian Church, historically as a denomination, sees itself as spiritual leaven, building up the whole community and even other churches, not just itself.
At Main Street Moravian we are an informal and personal gathering of folks who are at all different places on our walks with God. We hope you will come join us for worship!
We Celebrate Recovery, We honor the journey.
We are not affiliated with any recovery group.
In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; and in all things love.
We seek to provide true sanctuary, a place free from danger or judgment where one may feel secure and whole in their walk with God. Anyone, at any point in their life, is welcome here... always.
Fellowship is sincerely valued. New members and visitors are welcomed into a family of God who know one another through worshipping, working, and praying together.
We seek to enrich lives through shared ministry and cooperation with others. We will avoid duplicating ministries done well by sister churches, but seek to enhance the life of faith of the entire community by being spiritual leaven among those inside and those outside of any church.
Recognizing we are all born into the family of God, we celebrate children as children, and as present and future disciples in God's Household. Children and youth are welcomed and encouraged to be leaders in the congregation--their talents are sought and affirmed.
We, the Main Street Moravian Church, are called by God to be a safe haven and a place of worship for ALL people. We offer a family atmosphere through hospitality, worship, fellowship, service, and education, founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ.
God,grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things that I can & wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time: accepting hardship as a pathway to peace:: taking,as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is , not as I would have it:: trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to your will:: so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. AMEN!
